Show Usher: Job Description

The job of the show usher is extremely important. It is the first point of contact people have when coming to the show. You, the usher, help to set the experience. With that said, the usher must be friendly, happy and willing to help.


In most cases, you will help check people in and help seat people. You don’t spend too much time with people, but the time you do is very important. Our goal is to have every customer leave thrilled with the overall experience. 

So much so that they leave loving every minute of it. Happy customers spread the word and come back on the regular.

Big Laugh Comedy is a brand built by comedians, for comedians. For consumers and comedy fans, it’s a place to get all your comedy content in one place.

BLC produces live comedy shows in Austin, San Antonio and Dallas. With more cities coming soon. As well as, producing comedy content for all of the world to enjoy.

Responsibilities

  • Depending on your role for the night will depend on what you do

    • Checking people in with our ticketing system

    • Seating people at their assigned seat or showing them to the general admission areas

  • Be on time before the doors open

  • Help your fellow BLC teammates

  • Work together to make the best experience for the customer possible

  • Enjoy the show

Pay

  • Part time - working as many or as little shows per week, but must work within the schedule.

  • Must submit days off a week before.

  • $30 per show - roughly about 2 hours per show

  • Can stay to watch shows after

  • 4 comp tickets per month ($250 value)
